Aveo is seeking an experienced and pro-active Registered Nurse to join Aveo Freedom Aged Care Bendigo located in Kennington, VIC.

About the role & Aveo Freedom Aged Care Bendigo:

  • Casual position available with the potential to move into a permanent role
  • Casual loading and weekend penalty rates may apply
  • Reporting to Home Care Community Manager
  • Lead, supervise and educate a clinical team and ensure the delivery of person-centred care at the highest possible standard
  • Ensuring all residents receive general and support services in line with resident contracts and care plans and be accountable for all medication management during the shift
  • The community is close to local shopping centres, resevoir and is only an eight minute walk from Kennington Village bus stop.
  • Aveo Freedom Aged Care’s purpose is to provide a caring, safe and inspiring environment that supports our residents in living their lives to the fullest through the latter stage of their ageing journey

About you:

  • Registered Nurse with AHPRA required
  • Post graduate qualifications in nursing or gerontology highly regarded
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Current Police certificate
  • Understanding of person-centred care
  • Flexibility to work across a 24-hour roster

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Intermediate level of computer competence the Microsoft Suite and on-line network applications
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound office or business administration competencies
  • Business negotiation and staff management skills
