As a  Reservations Agent , joining the soon to open  DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront , you will serve as the main contact for room reservations at the hotel. This role is responsible for offering warm and welcoming customer service, personalised options and solutions to meet customer needs and influence their decision to stay. This role will additionally support the hotel’s reception during peak times. 

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, a Reservation Agent will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Convert, quickly, inquiries into contracted business;
  • Respond, positively, to sales inquiries to develop future sales leads
  • Respond to all customers in a highly professional manner, including ensuring all reservations are completed accurately and to the guest’s expectation; 
  • Use your knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge to demonstrate value to our guests;
  • Maximise room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities;
  • Provide prompt and efficient service while maintaining the hotels brand standards; and
  • Support reception during peak times and assist with other departments as required. 
  • To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • A track record of engaging with guests or customers, in person, by email and telephone;
  • A degree, diploma or certificate in hospitality, business, hotels or a related field (desirable);
  • Previous experience in customer service; a reservation or front office is advantageous;
  • Excellent attention to detail and administration skills, experience with Microsoft Suite and OnQ system is advantageous;
  • Unrestricted Australian Working Rights; and
  • Obtain Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification and a National Police Clearance.
