    About the role:

    We are looking for an experienced Retail Reporting Lead to join our dynamic team, based in Perth CBD. Reporting to the Forecasting and Reporting Manager, you will manage a small team of analysts who provide financial performance reporting to the retail business unit across all market and segments. The role will analyse key drivers of retail gross margin and OPEX performance across all Australian markets, and challenge and cross-examine business assumptions. This is an excellent opportunity to provide expert financial modelling and analysis through collaborating in the development of a framework of controls, processes, and systems. 

    Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Assist to develop, maintain and update the Retail Budget and forecast models
  • Challenge and interrogate business assumptions and prepare recommendations
  • Lead and develop a high performing team of Analysts
  • Contribute to the development and management of an annual business plan
  • Develop robust business cases to support investment in new initiatives
  • Set and manage expenditure budgets to meet outcomes with both short term and long term considerations
  • Work closely with the Finance team managing the budget
  • Improve commercial reporting showing current business performance against external and internal factors influencing key business metrics and indicators
  • Work closely with leaders within the Commercial team and associated business partners to drive cross functional skills development
  • To be successful you will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Charted Financial Analyst or related numeric discipline
  • Proven financial modelling, forecasting and reporting experience, gained within the energy, financial services or a mass consumer market Industry
  • Understanding of accounting, finance and legal principles
  • OPEX forecasting experience
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
  • Advanced stakeholder management abilities
  • Proven ability to identify strategic needs, leading to sound business recommendations, and generate alignment with stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation skills that encompass clear and compelling communications to key stakeholders, including General and Executive level management
  • Highly developed ability to work in a team environment and effectively prioritise work load
  • Additionally, the role will be a key business partner to the retail executive team and the finance team providing performance reporting on the retail market on a monthly and annual basis.
