About the role

A new opportunity for a Risk Analyst has become available within the CPB Pre-Contracts and Risk team. Reporting to the Group Manager, Pre-Contracts, this is a permanent full-time position based in our North Sydney head office.

Working as part of a small team, you will support the decision-making of the CPB Executive Leadership Team on matters such as Strategy, Business Planning, Forecasting, Scenario Planning, Opportunity Pipeline Management, Client Relationship Management, Tender Management, Enterprise Resource Management and Financial Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • From internal and external data sources, ingest, store, prepare, train, model and visualise pertinent Pre-Contracts and Project Delivery data in order to generate insightful analyses, specifically of the business’s Historical Performance Current ActivityFuture Pipeline
  • Prepare and present findings to Managing Director, Executive General Managers, Business Unit General Manager and Pre-Contracts Managers
  • Interface with Finance, Legal and Human Resource Functions to obtain and validate pertinent Pre-Contracts data
  • Interface with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) teams to mature Pre-Contracts Analytics DevOps processes and systems
  • Support the Pre-Contracts functions of other CIMIC Group businesses.
  • Skills and Experience

    To be successful in this role, the candidate will have the following skills, experience and demonstrate the below competencies:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Science Masters degree in Business Administration or Management
  • Strong interest in engineering construction in Australasia
  • Ability to traverse between “big picture” and “fine detail”
  • Highly adaptable – ability to wear different “hats” from Data Architect to Data Engineer to Data Scientist to Data Governance
  • Highly evolved problem-solving skills
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Experience in CRM platforms (e.g Salesforce.com)
  • Experience in the use of Azure Analytics Products (SQL; Data Factory; Data Lake; Databricks)
  • Advanced Python and R programming skills
  • Advanced Power BI skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly emotionally intelligent
  • Ability to work independently as part of a team
