We’re looking for an experienced compliance specialist who is a savvy problem-solver, dynamic leader and who consistently strives for efficient ways of working. 

Based at our National Head Office in Rochedale, this role reports into our Financial Controller and you will be working alongside and leading our Audits Team. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for mitigating risk for the business through risk identification and rectification and to also maintain compliance in our operations to effect quality improvement within the processes and systems. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement a business risk management framework
  • Continuously review and improve Amart Furniture’s business continuity plans
  • Assist in maintaining a high-level confidence among our executive team and external regulators
  • Lead and manage the execution of internal audits
  • Prepare and present audit reports
  • Provide support to our Team Members in stores to improve overall understanding of business processes and their applications
  • Support annual stock takes across the network and report on on results
  • Lead a skilled team providing ongoing mentoring and training
  • Supporting the growth of the business innovative ideas and ‘out of the box’ thinking
  • Required to travel Nationally to Amart Furniture locations 
  • About you:

  • Proven experience in internal audit within a retail environment
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Practical and pragmatic approach to loss prevention
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Data analytics skills and a strong report writing ability
  • Excellent work ethic and high attention to detail
