The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Sales Account Manager with experience selling high-tech solutions and services to join us in Canberra, Australia. In this role, you will work in the defense area of federal government and you”ll be responsible for building new relationships and expanding and improving business with existing customers. You will oversee all aspects of the sale including pricing negotiations, contract development, and order fulfillment, as well as the management of internal associates including sales engineering support and technical support issues. As a Sales Account Manager, you”ll need to be comfortable working with partner sales and services organizations and IT and business executives and you”ll need to have extensive experience developing and carrying out sales plans. Your success will be measured by your ability to meet quantitative and qualitative performance goals and set high standards for articulation and presentation of key messages and the Red Hat value proposition.Successfully sell our solutions and services in an assigned government territoryCreate tactical sales plans and lead the extended Sales team in carrying them out to maximize revenue and growthMeet assigned sales quota by acquiring new customer accounts and renewing and growing existing relationshipsCall on prospective customers and provide technical and administrative information, demonstrations, and price quotes for our offeringsAccurately forecast and close sales in alignment with company goals10+ years of sales experience with a demonstrated record of success, preferably in the software or IT industry10+ years of successful business and territory or industry development experienceUnderstanding of the complete sales cycle management from prospecting to closingExcellent communication skills; ability to articulate comprehensive technological strategies to a wide range of decision makers within an organization including technical, business, and C-level audiencesExperience with UNIX and Linux-related sales cycles is a plusRed Hat is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
