As you know, Senior Botany skills are sought after right now and most companies require the skills to apply to biodiversity offset plans, conduct Species Impact Statements, Field Studies, Vegetation Mapping etc.

For most Ecologists, this is the bulk of the work and enjoyable at that.

Whilst we have plenty of options for this type of role, this role many appeal to those who are looking for more higher level strategic input on projects, earlier on in the process and broader in your involvements.

The Role:

  • This consulting firm is currently 150 with a major bulk of that in NSW (Sydney and Newcastle).
  • Clients range Major Renewable Energy Providers, Mines, Transport Agencies and Developers.
  • Manage Major State Significant Developments and Infrastructure through the planning approval process, providing input and strategic advice for best pathways and scopes of work.
  • Ecology being a large determining factor for these major projects, we need a pragmatic Ecologist who understands and sees implications prior to doing the Impact Studies etc.
  • Assists in scoping projects with clients, providing determining frameworks from an ecological perspective
  • Sitting in the Ecological group, your National Leader is recognised as a true expert in their field; you’ll be learning from one of the best. Whilst field work is inevitable, getting that higher level strategic input onto projects is something you don’t often get to be involved in.

    Sydney or Newcastle based.
