  • Hudson is partnering with a high-profile federal government department who are looking to engage the services of multiple Career Practitioners to be part of a National Information Service Contact Centre. Working at the EL1 Level.

    This role will be working remotely across Australia. This is a part time opportunity and we are recruiting for multiple positions, ideally looking for candidates who can start ASAP or over the course of the next month.

    This is a 12 months contract, with extension for a further 12 months.

    About the Information Centre:

    The Information Contact Centre will operate from 1 October 2020 to 31 December 2022 to support 2020 and 2021 school leavers, and those at risk of disengaging from work and learning.

    A hotline will be set up and will act as a triage service to: help callers have a deeper understanding of, or additional support in using the information kits; navigate the digital platform; provide referrals to relevant government programs or support services and; provide an opportunity for callers to receive a more personalised focussed session with professional career practitioners.

    Senior Career Practitioners’ responsibilities

  • leading a team of 2-3 career practitioners, providing operational support and guidance to the team
  • Senior career practitioners may be required to assist career practitioners with overflow calls.
  • submitting session reports to the NCI including issues, risks, common queries. They will not be rostered on for main calls but will be back up for overflow calls or escalation / complaints
  • overseeing the maintenance of practice boundaries to ensure timeliness of calls, manage appropriate record systems to ensure callers records and feedback are recorded, received and escalated if appropriate.
  • Senior career practitioners will be needed to work one or more four hour shifts between 2.30 pm and 9.30 pm AEST, Monday to Friday. The first shift will be from 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm and the second shift will be from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm AEST. Alternatively, a Senior Career practitioner may opt to work work a single 7 hour shift, between 2.30 pm and 9.30 pm
  • Senior career practitioners should nominate the number of shifts they would be prepared to work per week.
  • Each Senior career practitioner will be responsible for a team of 2-3 career practitioners per shift.
  • Eligibility

  • Senior Career practitioners will hold a Masters level qualiifcation in Career Development level qualification or higher, be registered with CICA and/or be a Professional Member of a CICA Member Association and have at least 5 to 10 years professional practice.
  • Current working with Children card, or the relevant state or territory equivalent
  • Experience working with young people would be desirable
  • National Police Check
  • Must be an Australian Citizen
  • Remuneration

  • Senior Career practitioners will be remunerated at the Department EL1 level commensurate with the hours worked per week. (this is a part time role, in which hours will range week to week).
