  • 3-5 yrs exp in regulatory compliance within financial services
  • Experience with ASIC, AUSTRAC and APRA regulated environments essential,
  • Knowledge of the laws and regulations relating to payments industry advantageous
  • The Senior Analyst position is responsible for administering and executing the compliance risk management framework for Australia and will be based in Sydney.

    Job Description

  • The administration and execution of the compliance risk management framework will include, but is not limited to the following types of activities:
  • Maintaining the legislative and regulatory obligations register,
  • Managing the policy governance framework, which includes the development and review of policies and procedures,
  • Managing incident and breach management arrangements,
  • Coordinating and scheduling documentation for the various risk and compliance forums, committees and working groups,
  • Providing prompt advice and guidance to the business on ad hoc enquiries,
  • Assisting the ERCS team in the execution of day-to-day responsibilities,
  • Planning and completing monitoring and testing
  • Undertaking projects and initiatives, as required.
  • The successful candidate will have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience dealing with compliance and regulatory matters in the financial services or payments industry,
  • Specific knowledge of the laws and regulations relating to payments industry and/or e-commerce would be an advantage.
  • Experience with ASIC, AUSTRAC and APRA regulated environments essential,
  • Must have a collaborative approach to achieving goals, ready to take initiative, actively share information, and be willing to undertake a variety of roles as required,
  • An ability to assimilate and analyze information in an organized and methodical manner to enable critical components to be identified and actioned,
  • Provide accurate, clear and concise reports and other written materials where required to the business and other members of the ERCS team,
  • Communicate in an effective, concise and confident manner with all level of staff on matters relating to regulation, compliance and risk,
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects and track/meet deadlines while ensuring a high level of quality output,
  • The ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment,
  • Desire to continually learn and develop, and
  • Microsoft office proficiency.
  • Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in financial, business or law disciplines highly regarded.
  • Other relevant risk and compliance qualifications an advantage
