We focus on major clients in the Mining, Oil & Gas, Water, Agribusiness industries.  About the Role …  This role is perfect for an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer who is excited about leading the design, development, testing and commissioning of a diverse range of control systems solutions across the industries we work in. To be successful in this role you will have a strong Control Systems background working across the major sites around Queensland. You will be a motivated self-starter, be proactive, reliable and have excellent communication skills. You will be adaptable, resourceful and above all have a strong client focus. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Technical Leadership
  • Mentoring and development of junior engineers
  • Design of Control Systems
  • Programming & Configuration of PLC, SCADA systems
  • Testing & Commissioning
  • Travel & Site Work
  • Compliance with all company Management Systems

About you …  You’ll be an experienced Senior Control Systems Engineer with a passion for new technology and innovation. You will have a positive and friendly attitude plus a strong commitment to safety. You will have excellent time management skills along with exceptional teamwork and communication skills. You’ll be extremely hands-on, possess strong problem-solving skills, pay close attention to detail and be able to think outside the square. Your Technical Skills:  As a minimum, you will have proven experience in the following:

  • Understanding of key plant processes and strong site commissioning experience
  • Ability to design control system hardware and networks to suit industry best practices
  • Advanced PLC code design and development techniques to ensure optimum and efficient processing including reusable code modules and custom data structures
  • SCADA system design, build and development to industry best practices
  • Industrial communications network design, setup and troubleshooting
  • Ability to understand and interpret electrical design drawings
  • Process control knowledge including PID loop tuning
  • Control systems fault finding and customer technical support
  • Technologies from at least two major vendors such as
    • Schneider Electric
    • Rockwell Automation
    • Emerson
    • Yokogawa

 The following skills will also be favoured highly:

  • RTU system design, development and site commissioning
  • Instrumentation & HART Communications
