    In this role you will carry responsibility for managing Alinta’s CORE cloud environments. You will be involved in a wide variety of projects and initiatives relating to the CORE platform implementation which includes analysing, executing and streamlining DevOps practices as a part of the Platform team.

    Responsibilities include:

  • Compliance with all Company HSE policies and procedures
  • Proactive maintenance, administration and support of the global cloud environments
  • Daily tasks that include supporting software delivery pipelines and CI/CD systems to build and deploy our applications
  • Implement and administer monitoring, alerting and logging platforms
  • Administer configuration management and orchestration systems
  • Providing on-call and after hours support as required on a rotational basis
  • Define, communicate and drive delivery of a functional automation environment supporting the software development and adjacent operational teams
  • Assist the Solution Architect in providing guidance and technical review when considering new products and services
  • To be successful you will have:

  • Experience in designing cloud native infrastructure and deployment pipelines
  • Experience in defining infrastructure as code (e.g. CloudFormation, CDK)
  • Experience with container orchestration
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g GitLab, AzureDevOps, or other)
  • Experience with public cloud platforms, particularly AWS (and preferably some Azure)
  • A good understanding of modern architectural patterns and practices, including the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience operating in an Agile environment with a focus on collaboration
  • Experience managing high performance/high availability environments
  • Experience with observability platforms (logging, monitoring and alerting)
  • Awareness of cloud, application and data security best practices
  • Awareness of the cultural aspects of DevOps
  • Highly effective communicator with strong influencing skills and the ability to deliver high quality solutions
  • Other non-technical traits needed to succeed include empathy, agility, a collaborative attitude, a proactive approach and an eagerness to learn
  • Desirable skills

  • Experience with ITSM
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
  • Fluency with Python
