Job Description

An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced Document Controller to join our Commercial & Engineering Team within the iconic Snowy 2.0 project. The Snowy 2.0 Project purpose is to safely and responsibly build Snowy 2.0, the foundation for ongoing reliable and affordable electricity supply to Australians. 

This is a diverse role that is responsible for maintaining up-to-date records of all Project information. Reporting to the Commercial & Engineering Lead this position will ensure all correspondence and documentation is available in a timely and comprehensive manner to the project team. With strong communication skills, the successful applicant will provide support to the wider document control team and be responsible for 1 direct employee.

Key accountabilities include: 

  • Issuing & receiving controlled copies of information

  • Monitor the distribution and reconciliation of formal submissions of documents by the Contractor

  • Issue and track location of all documents and drawings.

  • Ensuring the timely review of Contractors Documents drawings by Project Managers and Engineering

  • Monitor compliance with document control requirements and make recommendations for improvement;

  • Implement efficient project-related document control registers and procedures;

  • Provide training to other team members and other project teams on correct project documentation procedures & standards

  • Foster a culture of confidence in support services’ abilities through provision of high quality support, dedication and consistent application of high professional standards

  • In addition to the above our ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate:

  • Minimum 5-6yrs demonstrated experience as a document controller, ideally in a technical environment.

  • Strong working knowledge and experience of popular document management systems such as Aconex. .

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • The ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision when required, with a flexible attitude

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
