About the Role
Promote and foster clinical liaison partnerships and administer education programs for clinicians, to improve clinical coding outcomes and documentation standards.
Contribute to and participate in the coding quality program to ensure clinical classification conforms to Australian Coding Standards and local, state, national guidelines and rulings.
Develop, maintain and deliver Clinical Coding Service staff education and professional development programs for clinical coding in line with best practice principles and continuous quality improvement processes.
Act as a resource for coding advice and expertise to all members of the Clinical Coding Team.
Provide regular feedback on coding audit results to the coding team (including at monthly coding communication and education meetings).
Provide analysis and expert advice in the reporting and interpretation of coded data to ensure coded data integrity.
Identify and provide expert advice to the Director Clinical Health Information Services, on key classification issues
