I’m recruiting for a leading industrial design consultancy who are looking for a conceptually proficient and commercially minded individual to work with their concept team on incredible, global, award-winning products. The Role As an experienced Senior Industrial Designer from a physical product environment, you will spend your days design thinking, researching, strategising, generating concepts, styling and sketching. You will be a great communicator, getting involved in storytelling, conceptual 3D CAD & rendering and the generation of digital conceptual presentations. The role requires on-time/on-budget delivery and a commitment to achieving excellence for diverse projects of all shapes and sizes for clients in Australia as well as overseas. Skills and experience Circa 10 years’ experience in creative product design, as well as experience in project and client management Previous consultancy experience desirable but not essential Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design A high degree of proficiency in Adobe CC and 3D (such as SolidWorks, Rhino or Alias) Experience working hands-on in all phases of design – from discovery through to delivery Excellent organisational and communication skills Proven ability to project manage critical timeline and budgets Proactive and flexible attitude for the challenges of working on multiple projects A strong understanding of design for manufacture How to apply When applying for this role, please provide a CV and a portfolio of your design work.
