Our client is seeking to engage a temporary Senior Policy Officer within the Workforce Strategy and Culture Unit of the NSW Ministry of Health. This is a fast paced role in a team that is providing crucial advice to the NSW public health sector in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In this role you will:
Liaise with the Department of Home Affairs and a registered migration agent on the establishment of a statewide labour agreement for health professionals
Provide timely and accurate advice to internal and external stakeholders on a range of recruitment and engagement strategies
Demonstrate high level written communication skills in the development and review of a range of internal and public facing documentation
Contribute to a policy review process, including extensive stakeholder consultation.
To be considered you must have:
Substantial experience in the provision of policy advice in a complex and multi-disciplinary environment.
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of policies and legislation impacting on the health workforce.
Demonstrated skills and experience in undertaking all stages of the policy cycle (development, implementation and review).
