    We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Process Engineer to join our Infrastructure Development Operations team in Southbank, Melbourne or Spring Hill, Brisbane on a full time, fixed term 12 month contract. We have a number of exciting projects of varying sizes and complexity for which you will act as responsible Process engineer for designated project(s) within our small but dynamic team.

    Reporting to the Team Lead Bid Support, you will play a key role and will take responsibility for providing engineering designs, technical document preparation, input into package engineering, construction and commissioning engineering, support of APA operations and the delivery of projects for new assets and upgrades to existing plant and equipment.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering design documentation for concept, front end and detailed design stages of assigned projects;
  • Prepare detailed engineering design documentation including calculations, SOW, specifications, datasheets, reports, drawings etc.;
  • Ensure engineering and design documentation prepared by APA, external engineering service providers, or vendors meets project/stakeholder requirements, statutory and licence requirements, applicable APA, Australian and international standards;
  • Prepare and review engineering work packs for tender and purchase;
  • Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning and handover to operations
  • About You

  • Tertiary qualification in Chemical Engineering admitting to corporate membership of the Institution of Chemical Engineers or equivalent (Required). Engineers Australia Chartered and RPEQ is an advantage.
  • Five (Plus) years’ experience in the design, construction, operation or maintenance of gas transmission, gas processing facilities, midstream, LNG, chemical process, utilities or associated industries.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standard AS2885, AS 4041/ASME B31.3, AS1210 and associated Australian and International reference standards.
  • High level of computer literacy in specialised design and document management software including Aspentech Hysys.
  • A working knowledge of Environmental and Health and Safety legislative requirements.
  • Experience in Process Safety and how Operations Processes are used to reduce risk.
