We are currently seeking a Sr Procurement Buyer to join our Melbourne, VIC office.Reporting to the Plant Manager, your focus will be to manage and control supply, distribution and stock control activities within the Smart Energy business in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

·Prepare and maintain product forecasts and master production schedules

·Manage end to end purchasing whilst ensuring customer requirements are met

·Ensure inventories are maintained at low and efficient levels

·Manage negotiations with major suppliers

·Manage warehousing activities to ensure timely delivery of products to customers

·Liaise with freight forwarders (inbound and outbound) and customs agents

·Contribute to New Product Development (NPI) as opportunities arise

Key Experience & Capabilities:

·Tertiary qualified (trade or degree) preferable (or experience equivalent)

·5 years-experience in purchasing and supply chain management

·Working in / or collaboration with a production / manufacturing environment

·Excellent PC /IT skills (Microsoft programs and ERP/MRP systems)

·Good understanding of commercial terms and conditions related to purchasing of goods and services
