We are passionate about improving peoples’ lives through increasing global mobility with our iconic planes including the production of the 787, 737, 747 and 777 models.As a highly skilledSenior Production Engineering Manageryou will apply your extensive engineering knowledge and project leadership ability to manage a multidisciplinary engineering and production team through the full lifecycle of a complex engineering changes from design conception through to incorporation of the change.About the role:Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple Engineering and production disciplinesDevelops and executes integrated plans, policies and procedures and provides input on strategies, goals, objectivesAcquires resources and provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvementsDevelops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reportsProvides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processesProject leadership and delegate the project team’s responsibilities and tasks through all stages of the project life cycleAdvanced knowledge of design concepts and techniques (e.g., concurrent engineering, Design for Manufacture/Assembly [DFM/A])Lead the incorporation of the Design and technology improvement into the production system.Identify and create qualitative or quantitative measures of success and failureSelect and apply the key parameters and develop standards to monitor progress, provide updates of performance, and plot trends over timeProject schedule, resource and risk managementDeveloping and implement production system expansion and maturationAbout you:Bachelor of Engineering degreeMinimum of 15 years’ experience in complex technical development, integration projects and production managementExperience in setting up and running aerospace production system.Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle managementDirect experience leading projects and implementing business management practicesDemonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse multidisciplinary and geographically diverse team with a focus on service delivery and customer satisfactionAdvanced communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to engage, influence and negotiate at all levels with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and customersExperience with change management and demonstrated ability to continually identify and drive the implementation of technical and business improvements and new opportunitiesExperience with technical management defence projects highly regardedPlease note that applicants must be Australian Citizens in order to meet Defence security clearance requirements.
