THE ROLE

Due to expanding portfolio of awarded contracts, we are currently seeking an experienced senior  Project Manager to join our North West Division working on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth to Pilbara sites. Reporting to the North West Area Manager, you will be primarily responsible for managing multiple remediation projects across the division commencing with structural integrity projects. As the Project Manager you will also be responsible for the planning, coordination and controlling of the project from construction through to completion whilst adhering to strict safety conditions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Proven delivery of Rio Tinto Projects
  • Controlling and managing all aspects of the project
  • Project managing from initial site setup to completion
  • Ensuring compliance with HSECQ requirements
  • Ensuring effective cost control and efficient running of the project
  • Coordinating direct labour and subcontractors
  • Project progress reporting and conducting weekly meetings
  • Provision of advice on any technical and engineering issues
  • Liaise closely with the client ensuring project runs to program 
  • ABOUT YOU

    As well as demonstrated experience with structural integrity, concrete and steel remediation projects, you will have:

  • Strong leadership skills and understanding of leadership responsibilities
  • An outstanding reputation for exceptional safety practices
  • Demonstrated high level of verbal and written communication ability as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Extensive project management skills from tender to delivery with the ability to meet required timeframes
  • Tertiary qualifications in structural, civil, construction or similar are preferred
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and MS Project
  • Be adaptable and flexible to travel around the NW Region
