u&u. Greater Western Sydney has been engaged exclusively by an instantly recognisable global market leader to recruit a Senior Project Manager on an initial 6-month contract based in Macquarie Park. About the Role/Duties

The company are looking to upgrade their on-premise Ascender Pay solution and provide better integration with their HCM (Workday). The upgrade will also include analysis and transition of payroll reporting. The role will provide senior project management expertise, communication, support and continuous improvement of all project aspects. The role will manage a small team as part of a broader program and will work very closely with payroll SME’s and multiple third-party vendors to ensure successful project implementation. The role will also provide a strategy review and analysis of the path to potential cloud options in the future.

Further responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Developing and monitoring project scope, plans, budgets, risks and preparing project status update reports for senior management;
  • Identifying and managing business impacts and business readiness for change;
  • Working closely with the business to ensure positive organisational change; and
  • Manage stakeholder and end user engagement and communications throughout and following the project.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar Project Manager role with proven experience implementing or upgrading payroll systems (ideally Ascender);
  • You will have strong payroll integration experience with HCM systems (ideally Workday);
  • You will have proven vendor management experience and be across the regulatory and compliance requirements linked with payroll projects;
  • You will have experience with designing new payroll processes and procedures and will have proven experience driving tangible project outcomes through your highly collaborative and participative style;
  • You will be structured, polished and disciplined but realistic and pragmatic in your approach. You will highly collaborative and excellent with stakeholder engagement and change management; and
  • Above all else, you will have a humble, kind, friendly and trustworthy personality, with excellent listening skills. You will possess a strong customer orientation and be empathetic to non-tech savvy stakeholders. You will be articulate and conversational and get excited by the prospect of working for a global powerhouse on an exciting payroll upgrade project.
