  • About the Role Managing a small team, you’ll have oversight of the Environmental Trust Deer Project and be instrumental in the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of new approaches for the control of feral deer on public and private land. This is a high-profile initiative in conjunction with the Environmental Trust and private landowners.With an experienced background in environmental management you’ll be relied upon to develop detailed project and budget plans, identify resource requirements, manage stakeholder consultation and develop key milestone reporting to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Exceptional skills in community liaison and consultation along with stakeholder management is pivotal to the success of this role. To be successful in the role you’ll have: 

  • Project management skills and experience with an understanding of contemporary best practice in procurement, tendering and contract preparation, in managing project teams, consultants and contractors, and in applying environmental safety and risk management policies and systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and reviewing strategic plans, policies and programs, and in providing strategic and operational advice and recommendations to senior management.
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent, relevant professional experience.
