<div><p> </p><p><strong>Senior Project Officer</strong></p><p><strong>Clerk Grade 9/10</strong></p><p><strong>Temporary Fulltime – Up to 12 months</strong></p><p><strong>Department Communities and Justice</strong></p><p><strong>Ashfield, NSW</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>About the Opportunity</strong></p><p> </p><p>Housing Statewide Services leads the development of operational policy, processes, procedures and system solutions for front line social housing staff across the access space and Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) housing staff in the tenancy space. We work closely with DCJ Districts, as well as our corporate partners in Strategy, Policy and Commissioning to develop policy and practice for the mutual benefit of our clients and housing staff.</p><p> </p><p>The primary role of a Senior Project Officer within Housing Statewide Services varies but includes:</p><p> </p><ul> <li>Managing and undertaking research and policy development and providing evidence-based policy analysis and advice to develop high quality social housing policy, which drives reform, provides and directly contributes to better outcomes for individuals, families, groups and communities.</li> <li>Managing large projects that concern amendments to operational policy; and operationalisation of overarching policy frameworks.</li> <li>Developing and implementing changes to the HOMES system to enable effective policy implementation.</li> <li>Developing operational tools and resources for frontline staff.</li> <li>Developing and delivering training to frontline staff.</li> <li>Working with stakeholders inside and outside of the organisation.</li> <li>Being flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.</li> <li>Providing rapid advice on operational policies.</li> </ul><p> </p><p>This is a temporary full time opportunity, available for a period of up to 12 (twelve) months in accordance with the <em>Government Sector Employment Act</em>.</p><p> </p><p><strong>A Talent Pool may be created to fill similar roles for temporary and ongoing opportunities if and as they arise.</strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>Essential Requirements</strong></p><p> </p><ul> <li>Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development</li> <li>Detailed knowledge of social housing and DCJ Housing tenancy policies and demonstrated experience in implementing these policies</li> <li>Excellent oral communication, written communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Detailed knowledge of DCJ IT systems, particularly HOMES and RM8 OneTRIM</li> <li>Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office suite</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to manage, prioritise and deliver within a high volume environment.</li> <li>Proven ability to monitor policy and system compliance</li> <li>Proven ability to manage testing of system applications used in client service delivery.</li> <li>Proven ability to work in collaboration with key stakeholders</li> <li>Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills</li> </ul><p> </p><p><strong>What we can offer you/benefits</strong></p><p> </p><ul> <li>Location – Ashfield</li> <li>DCJ Clerk Grade 9/10</li> <li>Salary range $108,044 – $119,061 p.a. plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.</li> <li>4 weeks annual leave per year of service</li> <li>Generous salary packaging options and other fringe benefits</li> <li>Flexible work practices</li> <li>Opportunities for learning and development and Internal career progression</li> </ul><p> </p><p><strong>How to apply</strong></p><p> </p><p>Candidates are encouraged to contact Natalie Clark on 0427 431 537 prior to applying for this role.</p><p>                             </p><ul> <li>To start your application, click the Apply Online button at the bottom of this page</li> <li>Provide your personal information as prompted</li> <li>Attach your resume that sets out your work experience as relevant to the role (maximum of 5 pages)</li> <li>Attach a cover letter that details your experience as relevant to the role (maximum of 1 page)</li> <li>Complete all questions within the online application</li> </ul><p> </p><p>Candidates should read the Role Description and consider the Essential Requirements when preparing their resume and cover letter.</p><p> </p><p>Applications MUST be submitted online through <a href="http://www.iworkfor.nsw.gov.au/">www.iworkfor.nsw.gov.au</a> to be considered.</p><p> </p><p>Part of the assessment process will include additional online capability testing, skills testing or work samples in accordance with the <em>Government Sector Employment Act 2013</em>; therefore you may be contacted to participate.
