The Role

Due to continued growth, a unique opportunity has arisen for a Senior Water/Wastewater Planning Engineer to join the Melbourne water team, while supporting the national planning team to deliver projects.

Reporting into the Team Leader, you will work alongside a number of key clients, provide planning solutions across a variety of projects and assist in the growth of the VIC business whilst mentoring an energetic team of industry professionals.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering) or Equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated water and sewer engineering knowledge and experience in water utility sector (or similar)
  • Proven experience successfully conducting options analysis for engineering projects
  • Experience in water/wastewater planning at either a master planning/detailed planning level
  • Experience using industry-standard software, including SWMM, InfoWorks ICM, InfoWater and WaterGEMS
  • An understanding of appropriate technical standards, legislation, codes of practice and Australian standards
  • Skilled in project management, including monitoring and managing the scope, budget and risks of multiple projects of varying complexity and size
  • Exposure to client engagement with a track record of delivering best client outcomes/options
  • A passion for and involvement in shaping the industry through committees, industry bodies, delivering papers etc.
