Role Summary:

Qualified Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) who is a part of a site service team and reporting to a Site Manager. Actively involved in and applying Engineering know-how to daily maintenance, operations, troubleshooting and major component exchange activities at the wind farm.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance and operations of wind turbines.
  • Active member of a work team that may be assigned to a turbine.
  • Analysis and recommendations on site trends and wind turbine fault data. This may include development and follow up on PAC cases or Pulse Points. This may also include analysis of spare parts holdings (min/max levels) and potential impacts on wind farm performance.
  • Development of specifications for third party contractors.
  • Inspection and verification of works completed by third party contractors.
  • Negotiation with engineering and product management support functions to ensure alignment with work processes, this may include application of standards and best practices from regional and global partners.
  • Development of technical presentations for internal and client updates, this may include supporting service contract reporting obligations.
  • Documentation management, including record keeping for quality assurance, this may involve leading annual quality audits.
  • Supporting EHS investigation and ongoing improvement initiatives, this may include translating regulatory requirements into tactical actions at site level.
  • Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Fluent in English with effective written and oral communication skills, possess strong presentation and good training skills and can manage multiple work fronts and assignments concurrently.
  • Engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Desired Characteristics:

    The ideal candidate will be flexible with a can-do attitude, willing and able to work with Leadership, Internal and external stakeholders including Site teams, Contractors and Sub-contractors whilst maintaining a proactive and prominent relationship with the operational client.

  • Attention to detail and willingness to comply with Local legislated and corporate compliance requirements is a must.
  • Possess an ability to recognise gaps and opportunities to simplify, improve and implement applicable solutions, strive to learn and develop.
