SESLHD is committed to enabling our community to be healthy and well, and to providing the best possible compassionate care when people need it.&nbsp;</span><br /> <br /> SESLHD Drug and Alcohol Service offers a range of treatment and support services for people with problems from their alcohol, prescription or illicit drug use, and/or their families and carers. Outpatients D&amp;A services are located in clinics at the Langton Center in Surry Hills, St George Hospital in Kogarah, and Caringbah Community Health Center at Sutherland Hospital. Inpatient D&amp;A services are provided at Sydney Hospital, Prince of Wales, St George and Sutherland hospitals.<br /> <br /> The Magistrates&#39; Early Referral Into Treatment (MERIT) Program of NSW is a specialised program that provides case management and counselling for defendants who have entered the Criminal Justice System and have a demonstrable drug problem. The South Eastern Sydney NSW Local Health Network MERIT program provides services to Courts within SESLHD boundaries.&nbsp;<br /> <br /> MERIT provides accurate assessments and written reports to the Courts and facilitates intensive case management of defendants throughout the structured program.<br /> &nbsp;</div> <div style="font-size:10pt"><strong><em><span style="font-size:10.0pt"><span style="line-height:115%"><span>SESLHD is committed to creating a workplace that reflects the diversity of our community. We encourage people from different backgrounds to apply.<br /> <br /> Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if&nbsp;no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.</span></span></span></em></strong></div> </div> <div style="font-size:10pt"> <p style="font-family:Arial"><strong>Selection Criteria:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Relevant qualifications and either AHPRA registration or demonstrated eligibility for membership of a recognised professional association</li> <li>High level clinical skills in D&amp;A assessment, withdrawal, opioid and other pharmacotherapies, psychosocial interventions, and treatment planning for patients with complex presentations.
