  • Demonstrate high-level understanding of the environment in which clinical decisions are made to influence health outcomes, including a broad understanding of the continuum of care and the organisational provision of multidisciplinary health services.
  • Apply high level clinical practice to support continuous improvement of quality service delivery including contributing to the development of evidence based clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the Social Work Department to facilitate optimal client outcomes.
  • Monitor and report social work clinical work practices and outcomes within the hospital and initiate, plan and evaluate service improvement activities to enhance the delivery of social work services and quality patient care.
  • Develop effective professional relationships and demonstrate a high level of advocacy, negotiation and conflict management skills between patients and their families, other health professionals and stakeholders to inform/ influence clinical outcomes and/or encourage behavioural change.
