Purpose of the Role

Deliver high level clinical Social Work services within the Cairns Hospital to ensure optimal assessment, clinical intervention, and discharge planning occurs for health service consumers as part of a broader multidisciplinary team.

Provide leadership within the Social Work Department team, including assistance with performance management processes, clinical practice supervision and participation in the business and quality activities to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
