About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic early career Speech Pathologist, keen to explore and extend their skills in paediatric intervention, to be a part of our welcoming, professional and supportive team.
The position is FULL TIME, 38 hrs/week, with generous above Award salary.
The clinic provides services 6 days a week, during the hours from 8am – 6 pm, reflecting our clients’ needs. The days and hours you will work, are negotiable but will include Saturday as this is our peak demand. This position can therefore provide some flexibility to fit in with your life style and desired work/life balance.
Proposed Commencement Date : 1 February 2021.

Regular weekly and timetabled supervision/mentoring sessions with experienced clinicians, often together with the other early career speech pathologists.

In line with our commitment to on-going professional development you will, along with all members of our Team, be encouraged & expected to regularly read journal/research articles and attend relevant Speech Pathology Australia Special Interest Group meetings, such as the Paediatric and Stuttering Interest Groups, and share ideas with your fellow clinicians.
Skills and experience
The successful applicant will :
Be an early career Speech Pathologist with a Bachelor or Masters Degree in Speech Pathology.
Have demonstrated excellent written and verbal skills.
Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills.
Have an ability to work independently and also as part of our friendly team of 8 clinicians & 3 support staff.
Be enthusiastic about Speech Pathology and the difference it makes in people’s lives.
Be motivated to provide the best possible service for your clients.
Be prepared to move toward achieving benchmark client contact hours in the bustling clinic.
Be committed to being a valued long-term member of the team. A 2-year minimum commitment to the clinic is essential. Longevity and consistency of service is pivotal in developing and maintaining solid relationships with referral agencies in the community and the families in their care.
