    The Role:

    Reporting to the Superannuation Advice Team Leader, you will provide predominantly digitally developed and web-based limited personal intrafund advice to Hostplus members over the phone and Internet, as well as arranging referrals and other appointments for the Hostplus Financial Planners where advice needs are more complex. The role also extends to assisting in the co-ordination, management and delivery of our advice seminars and related programs.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Hostplus members receive high quality,, compliant and timely personal intra-fund financial advice and related services
  • Develop and deliver pro-active strategies, initiatives and campaigns to increase Hostplus members’ engagement with financial planning and advice
  • Promote Hostplus’ financial planning and advice services to achieve member retention and other business objectives, and
  • Build and maintain key relationships with internal staff, strategic service providers and stakeholders.

    As our ideal candidate, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • a prior or current experience in a financial planning, para-planning or client services role
  • a proven track record of having achieved Key Result Areas and Key Performance Indicators in a previous financial planning position
  • an ability to work within compliance frameworks and especially within financial services environments
  • a comprehensive working knowledge of superannuation, investment and insurance products and a contemporary knowledge of these products use in the execution of financial advice strategies
  • practical knowledge of, and experience in using, financial planning software and CRM systems (XPlan or similar) and the maintenance of detailed client and practitioner notes and records using such systems
  • sound knowledge of relevant superannuation and taxation legislation, including SIS, SG, FOFA and MySuper regulations
  • a high commitment to delivering superior quality customer service whilst being an active member of a productive team, including the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people
  • superior analytical and conceptual skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate information in a clear and succinct manner, and
  • an ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast paced work environment.
  • Professionally, you will hold your RG146 certification, Diploma of Financial Services and Advanced Diploma of Financial Services and meet the FASEA existing advisor definition.
