<div><p><strong>Talent Pool – Casual Correctional Officers - Dubbo Court</strong><br> </p><p>Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) manages the largest prison system in Australia.  CSNSW is responsible for ensuring that both sentenced inmates and remand inmates (i.e. those in custody awaiting trial) are supervised and managed in a secure, safe and humane manner. It also provides programs designed to reduce reoffending and appropriate services to support the well-being of inmates and their families.<br><br>We are looking for individuals interested in providing a high standard of security and containment within district courts throughout regional NSW. District Courts deal with serious criminal offences. With flexible work arrangements casuals, Corrective Services NSW offers a great work-life balance with rostered 3 – 12 hour shifts,  and vary from Monday to Friday morning and afternoon shifts. That's more time for family, friends and recreation. This is an exciting opportunity to join our Moree Court Casual Talent Pool and be part of our growing and rewarding team.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>About the role:</strong><br> </p><ul> <li>3 -12 hours, 14 days a week rotating shift roster.</li> <li>Provide safety, security, welfare and rehabilitation of inmates/offenders.</li> <li>Conducting daily searches and musters.</li> <li>Locate and remove illegal and restricted substances whilst undertaking searches.</li> <li>Manage inmates of all classifications.</li> <li>Provide ongoing monitoring and security at all times.</li> <li>Undertake all custody related administrative duties.</li> <li>Maintain confidentiality.<br> </li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements of the role:</strong><br> </p><ul> <li>Must be a minimum age of 18 years old.</li> <li>Hold a valid and full driver's license (with no restrictions).</li> <li>Must be an Australia or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident.</li> <li>Willing and able to work irregular shift patterns/hours of work (shifts up to 8 hours, 5 days a week).</li> <li>Be available to work at short notice (calls for casual work are after 5pm for work on the following day).</li> <li>Competent to safely handle a firearm.</li> <li>Ensure you meet the minimum medical standards and be of a reasonable fitness level.</li> <li>Be a team player with good verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Have foundational computer skills.</li> <li>Able to adhere to dress code including no visible inappropriate or offensive tattoos.<br> </li> </ul><p><strong>How to apply:</strong><br> </p><ul> <li>Answer all questions on the online application form.</li> <li>Ensure you have an up-to-date resume no more than three (3) pages which clearly details your skills and experience as relevant to the position.</li> <li>Ensure you have a brief cover letter no more than one (1) page introducing yourself and explaining your interest in the role.<br> </li> </ul><div><strong><strong><a href="https://files.jobs.nsw.gov.au/wxmy8a">Click here</a> to review the Role Description.</strong></strong></div><div> </div><p><strong>Applications received via this requisition will be considered for Dubbo Court ONLY. When a vacancy arises in your preferred location, the talent pool will be activated and offers of employment will be based on date of application, location preference, capabilities, knowledge and experience.
