Leinster Community School are seeking to establish a pool of K-6 Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of the children in our community. The successful applicants will ideally be able to exhibit exemplary teaching skills, be highly motivated and enthusiastic. You must have the ability to work in a team environment and have a commitment to both play-based learning and explicit teaching. To be successful for this role, the successful applicants will possess a high level of interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with staff members and implement whole school approaches within the school’s business and operational plans. The successful applicants will ideally have the knowledge and experience to embed whole school programs, which include Letters and Sounds, Talk for Writing and Origo Maths.

The Teachers will ideally be team players, possessing the ability to create an effective, engaging and inclusive learning environments based on high expectations. You will be expected to show data-driven teaching practices and a good understanding of how to establish a positive classroom environment, fostering high care and expectations. Ideally, you will have a strong understanding of the core frameworks: National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework.

Staff are expected to plan, share and implement programs incorporating iPads and other digital technologies in order to provide authentic and integrated learning opportunities.

Leinster Community School is a supportive team environment where everyone works towards a shared vision. Leinster is located in the Northern Goldfields of Western Australia. It is a closed mining town where the school supports the students of mine workers in the region. There is the opportunity to fly in and out of the community. The community is well resourced with an IGA, hairdresser, beautician, swimming pool, gym and tavern.
