The opportunity

Mount Isa is home to six primary schools, one secondary school and a special school. We currently have 5 District Relief Teacher poistions position available throughout Mount Isa.

The DRT role will provide the local schools with consistent access to replacement teachers throughout 2020 and beyond. The successful applicants will have the best of both worlds – the opportunity to experience a range of schools for daily, short and long term relief, while also having the stability and security of guaranteed full-time employment! DRTs are also provided the same entitlements as classroom teachers, including leave entitlements, non-contact time and access to professional development.

  • Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland.
