Dysart State High School are currently looking for passionate and enthusiastic HPE teachers. It is desired that the successful applicant will be able to teach either Junior Maths or Science. The ability to teach Certificate II in Sport and Recreation or having TAE Cert IV would be an advantage but is not essential as the school can assist with providing training.

Dysart is located in the  Isaac Region ( https://www.isaac.qld.gov.au/about-our-region/dysart ) and is 253 SW of  Mackay ( https://www.queensland.com ) on the Queensland coast. It is surrounded by pastoral properties and is a dormitory town for Saraji and Peak Downs open cut coal mines. Dysart is a friendly community, with public services including schools, a hospital and emergency services. It is an ideal location to spend a night while on an inland road trip with many accommodation options. An array of wildlife can often be seen on rural roads surrounding the town, including camels, kangaroos and emus. Many koalas call Dysart home in eucalyptus trees within the town, as well as an array of delightful bird life.
