Position Information

Monaro High School is a comprehensive rural high school located in Cooma and proudly serving the communities of the Monaro district. The school offers a quality academic, vocational and student wellbeing curriculum to accommodate all students and believes that students have the right to a personalised education where all pathways of learning are equally valued.

Selection Criteria

Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with Autism (Secondary).

Demonstrated capacity to implement support planning for the complex needs of individual students in support classes.

Capacity to support the academic growth including numeracy and literacy targets for students in support classes.

Strength in interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents and in a multi disciplinary team.

Demonstrated skills to manage the complex dynamics of a support classrooom.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
