Position Information

Moruya Public School is located on the South Coast of NSW and has an enrolment of 337 students, including 60 Indigenous students. The school has 17 classes, four of which are support classes, and prides itself on being an inclusive school. A wide range of extra-curricular programs are offered to ensure that all students have opportunities to achieve success. These include music tuition, sporting opportunities, a kitchen garden program, performing arts groups, STEM and language and cultural activities.

Moruya Public School values community engagement and partnerships with families and is committed to maintaining and strengthening these. The school is well supported by a strong and proactive P&C. Wellbeing policies and programs are underpinned by the Positive Behaviour for Learning framework where students identify as being safe, respectful learners.

Selection Criteria

Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs.

Outstanding classroom practice K-6 and proven ability to differentiate the curriculum to promote engagement and learning, including demonstrated ability to implement strong literacy and numeracy programs.

Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents, community members and external support services to promote and achieve positive outcomes for students.

Demonstrated understanding and experience in contributing to whole school initiatives focused on positive wellbeing to promote and create an inclusive school environment.


An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
