    About the Opportunity

    Reporting to the Periscope Workshop Supervisor you will:

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance services for submarine systems as required
  • Perform failure diagnosis, repair and production testing of opto-electrical and mechanical, and electronic assemblies down to component level in accordance with approved test procedures
  • Perform acceptance test activities using automated test equipment
  • Conduct analysis of preventative and corrective maintenance routines and provide input to technical reports
  • Assist in configuration management of the Periscope product
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives of technical processes that support the periscope product
  • Perform rework, modify and repair electronic assemblies and cables to IPC-Project standards
  • About you

    As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you’ll have:

  • Demonstrated experience in fault finding of electrical and electronic assemblies to component level
  • A Diploma / Advanced Certificate/ Associated Diploma in Electrical, Electronics or demonstrated equivalent practical experience
  • Sound fault finding techniques with the ability to diagnose and rectify complex technical problems
  • Experience in an Opto-Mechanical test environment or a manufacturing test environment, preferably in a military equipment field.
