Digital Learning Lab is responsible fordeveloping digital, world leading content for use throughout TAFE NSW’sfootprint.In this newly created role,you will be responsible for enabling the Digital ecosystem, encouraging andrewarding new Digital knowledge and then putting this new knowledge into actualuse. The AR/VR Unity Developer is responsible for reviewing, testing anddeveloping experimental applications for new immersive technology to ensurehigher design accuracy and end product quality.

This an ongoing full timeposition with location negotiable dependent on TAFE NSW campus availability.

Key Accountabilities

Reporting to the Innovation Team Managerthe primary responsibility of this role is to research, design, test, anddevelop experiences to evaluate emerging AR/VR hardware and softwaretechnologies to enhance the digital learning experience.

Keyareas of focus include:

  • Collaboratewith the Digital Learning Lab Team on internal design, reviews, demonstrations andexternal communications regarding VR and AR technology.

  • Workwith clients, and internal teams to integrate the latest technology andtechniques in the Digital Learning Lab product offerings.

  • Expandthe TAFE NSW AR/VR suite and capacity by evaluating various AR/VR Systemrelated technologies for potential integration to Digital Immersiveproduction pipeline.

  • Serveas a subject matter expert to others seeking to utilise VR and AR technologiesto automate and streamline existing manual business processes.

  • Interactwith the Global academic and business community to explore new techniques andpromote Digital Learning Lab AR/VR capability.

  • Prepareand present analysis, methods and results to AR/VR Designers within TAFEon the experiments conducted via TAFE NSW Digital Lab experiments.

  • TheSkills / Experience

  • Relevantqualification or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience in AR/VR, gamedevelopment or similar industry experience.

  • Advancedknowledge of Unity3D and strong C# and Python experience.

  • Experiencein VR development including the implementation of 6-DOF Touch/Oculusinteraction mechanics and integrating third party SDKs and API’s.

  • Strongunderstanding of 3D rendering pipeline concepts and 3D graphical mathematics

  • Abilityto address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description.
