Position Overview
Ability and Attendance Consultant – Human Resources – Full Time PURPOSE As an Ability and Attendance consultant at Sault Area Hospital you will be providing case management support to leaders and employees in an assigned client group and proactively engaging with bargaining agents along the full continuum of any absence, including the following:
DUTIES
Adjudicate absences by engaging with the absent employee and their leader, requesting required documentation as necessary, reviewing submitted documentation for completeness, determining whether the employee absence should be approved and exploring whether the employee can stay at work through the illness/injury or alternatively how soon they can return to work
Support and coordinate the process to assist employees to stay at work while managing an illness or injury whenever possible
