Activation Manager (Full Time)

Responsibilities

In consultation with the Executive Director, plans, develops and ensures the delivery of meaningful recreational and social activity programs for residents of the long‑term care home that reflect the organization’s vision, strategic direction, resident‑centred approach and the residents’ interests, abilities and previous lifestyles. Ensures programs comply with relevant government legislation and policies, taking due consideration of the available resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, or equivalent; B.S.W. and Registered Social Worker designation in Ontario an asset.
• Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience in program planning and delivery in a health‑care setting.
• Knowledge of long‑term care an asset.
• Experience in counseling with seniors and their caregivers.
