Application Engineer I

**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**

+ Demonstrate technical competence in electrical design principles through both theoretical knowledge and practical application
+ Craft solutions that meet customer needs using Appleton’s engineered product portfolio
+ Read and interpret schematics, elevation drawings, technical drawings and datasheets
+ Develop, review and approve technical drawings and documentation packages
+ Perform simple to intermediate electrical calculations, simulations, and risk assessments
+ Serve as the technical expert to support our cross-function teams: sales, marketing, and operations
+ Ensure projects and builds are in compliance with electrical codes and our product certifications
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product management, R&D, and operations to develop application solutions, support business development, and align with customer needs
