Applied Physicist: AI/ML Trigger Systems for HL-LHC

Physics World in Switzerland invites applications for a postdoctoral or research engineer involved in advancing the ATLAS trigger system for HL-LHC. You will design triggering algorithms, explore ML/AI based approaches, and develop tools for trigger menu studies.

The role includes simulations, collaboration with ATLAS experts, and team supervision. The position is onsite, with a 24-36 month contract and possible extension, starting 01-October-2026.
