Backend Engineer

Xello is looking for a Backend Engineer to help build and support the backend services, APIs, and data‑intensive systems that power our content management workflows and product experiences. This is a remote role open to candidates in Canada only.

Who Are You?

You’re an experienced backend engineer who enjoys solving problems with clean architecture, reliable systems, and strong data design. You have a strong understanding and passion for data modelling, and are skilled in database and backend development as well as performance tuning. You are adept at interface‑based programming and have a proven record of writing testable code. You collaborate with product managers, the content team, and engineering leadership to solve problems for external clients and internal stakeholders.
