BESS Project Developer

Position: BESS Senior Project Developer Location: Madrid, Spain Who are we recruiting for? Our client is a globally recognized IPP specializing in renewable energy, with a growing focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) alongside solar PV projects. Following recent investments, the company has a robust pipeline of BESS projects in Spain and is looking to strengthen its development team. What will you be doing? Lead the development of utility-scale BESS projects from site identification, permitting, and design through to financial close. Coordinate technical, commercial, and regulatory aspects of BESS projects, ensuring alignment with company strategy and investor expectations. Manage relationships with landowners, local authorities, grid operators, and other external stakeholders to secure necessary permits, grid connections, and approvals.
