Position Overview

DUR LB – Broker Claims Administrator

Reference: DUR -LB-1

Purpose of the job:
To engage with external customer’s brokers and suppliers with regards to tracking and processing of insurance claims & other related administration.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Matric/Grade 12 with Mathematics.
  2. Minimum of 120 FAIS credits or a NQF 5 qualification in Short Term Insurance.
  3. Minimum of 5 years’ short term (domestic and commercial lines) claims experience essential.
  4. RE5 advantageous.

Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Competencies and responsibilities:

  1. Assessing short term claims received.
  2. Appointment of assessors/loss adjusters.
  3. Authorization of claims maintaining a good working relationship with all the external service providers.
  4. Panel beater authorizations for approved motor claims.
