Budget Analyst

Summary About the Position: Serves as the senior Budget Analyst for US AFRICA COMMAND (AFRICOM), directing and advising junior analysts to perform a wide range of evaluative and analytical duties in support of multiple appropriations for the purposes of budget formulation, program/funds control, program oversight and review, and analysis. Responsibilities Monitor and evaluate budget execution to ensure funds are executed in accordance with approved program guidance. Select and apply a wide range of complex and unrelated analytical methods and techniques (e.g., programming, planning, budgeting, execution (PPBE), cost-benefit analysis in order to forecast budgetary needs. Study sources of data utilized as the basis for recommendations of fund adjustments between apportionment categories or for new projects not yet within current apportionment.
