The Person:
  • Matric.
  • Degree or Diploma in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' procurement or buying experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Proven experience negotiating prices with suppliers.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Purchase products from approved suppliers.
  • Source products and negotiate competitive pricing.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Process purchase orders, GRVs and GRAs.
  • Reconcile purchases at month-end.
  • Handle supplier invoices and creditor-related administration.
  • Run daily back-order reports and follow up on outstanding orders.
