Buyer (Sourcing) (Tijuana)

Responsibilities:

• Procures supplies, materials, services, tooling, and equipment for delivery at specified time or location.
• Places and updates purchase orders for NPI launches, manages delivery of products and ensures timely delivery to eliminate potential backorders and stockouts.
• Work with PMO team to update schedule on deliveries to ensure launch timelines can be achieved.
• Work with Sourcing specialist on capacity planning and equipment requirements.
• Manage any subcontracting process.
• Plans, schedules, and monitors movement of materials through the fulfillment cycle.
• Advises team of any actual or potential material shortages; work with Sourcing and Engineering to resolve any potential issue that may impact launch dates.
• Ensures suppliers have complete product information to meet product quality standards and deliveries for production and assists with PPAP process.
