Buyer - Supply Chain Management

JOB SUMMARY

The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, researching, negotiating, and purchasing of materials, as well as verification of equipment for EDI Projects, and services required for the operation and maintenance of Rig-Specific supplies for Ensign’s Rig fleet. This role requires a keen understanding of the oil and gas well‑drilling/servicing sector of the industry, including strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

• The position is based in Houston, Texas, but due to the wide geographical area in which Ensign operates, some travel will be necessary.
• Drilling and Well‑Servicing operations work continuously around the clock; therefore, the incumbent may be required to provide field support on a 24‑hour basis (on‑call duties).
