The ideal candidate should have at least one year of cashier experience in a similar position, as well as excellent customer service and communication skills. The successful applicant will be responsible for accurately processing customer payments and maintaining a neat and tidy store environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
• Greet customers upon arrival
• Process customer payments through cash, check, or credit card
• Issue receipts or change due when necessary
• Count and balance cash drawers periodically
• Answer customers' questions regarding store policies, products, prices, etc.
• Ensure accuracy of pricing and discounts applied to sales
• Maintain cleanliness of the checkout area
• Stock shelves when needed
