About the Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you will:
Carry out customer RDC deliveries to major supermarket distribution centres across the UK.
Undertake nationwide deliveries, including nights out as required.
Support the wider GDL Network with backloads arranged after deliveries.
Complete onsite shunting to support efficient trailer loading and daytime dispatch.
Ensure full load security, including correct use of tautliners, ratchet straps and manual handling techniques.
Guarantee all loads are safe and compliant for transportation on public roads.
Use a handheld PDA to complete paperwork accurately and streamline tasks.
Maintain regular communication with the transport team, providing timely progre...
